Beta CompTIA Exams for Advanced Cybersecurity Roles: CASP+ and PenTest+

CompTIA has two beta exams available right now: CASP+ and PenTest+ and as long as there is room and you schedule the test before sometime in July, you can have some certifications that meet the requirements for DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications for Information Assurance (IA) personnel. These certifications address critical cybersecurity roles and validate advanced skills essential for protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive information and open some doors for Cybersecurity roles in the DoD.

 The PenTest+ beta exam focuses on penetration testing and vulnerability assessment skills. As a CSSP Auditor, Analyst, and Incident Responder level certification, PenTest+ validates the ability to plan, scope, and execute penetration tests, analyze results, and produce actionable reports.
